Education

A great choice of high-quality education

If you have children, then education is a priority. Despite its small size, North East Lincolnshire has a range of high performing schools, two exceptional grammar schools, and a top-notch FE / HE college.

Pre-schools, primary and Secondary Education

North East Lincs is a high-quality area for primary education, with 76% achieving Level 4 in KS2 SATs in 2013 throughout the 15 primary schools on offer; many of which have a pre-school, meaning your child can stay in the same school environment from the age of 2 until 11, providing stability and continuity.

Of the 10 Secondary Academies at your disposal in the area, three have achieved an Ofsted rating of ‘outstanding’ – Healing Science Academy, Tollbar Academy, and Humberston Academy. There is also access to two top-class grammar schools, King Edward V1 Grammar in Louth, and Caistor Grammar School who take pupils from North East Lincolnshire.

There is also an independent school, St James’ School, which provides co-education for ages 2 through to 18.
