Practice Improvement Practitioner (Social Work Practice Development)

Job description

North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children’s Services are committed to achieving best outcomes for children, young people, and families.  To support that ambition, we created a team of (Practice and Development) Practice Improvement Practitioners (PiPs), (reporting directly to our Principal Children’s & Families Social Worker), who lead on, and contribute to, a broad range of practice and workforce projects designed to support the delivery of excellent practice, professional development, and the well-being of our social workers.

Senior Practitioner

Job description

North East Lincolnshire is keen to engage with dedicated and committed Senior Social Work Practitioners for our Children’s Services.

The role requires managing a caseload of the most complex and contentious cases where your expertise, skills and in-depth knowledge are required.

You will manage a group of family support workers and also be responsible for their supervision and professional development. As such, this is an ideal opportunity to gain supervisory experience for those wanting to progress into management positions.

You will be working alongside social worker teams within a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary context as part of our delivery of child-centred care.

Social Worker Level 1

Job description

As a Social Worker in North East Lincolnshire’s Children’s Services, you will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality social work practice; ensuring the children’s service listens to the families and enables them to be involved in the decisions that affect their lives.

The role requires a recognised social work qualification and and successful completion of ASYE (Assessed & Supported Year in Employment).

We have made a commitment to using the Signs of Safety practice model and are currently working on embedding Signs of Safety practice across the service and partner workforce.

You will be joining a dynamic and supportive service with fantastic training and career development opportunities where you will be supported by Team Managers and a committed Leadership team. We have invested in our training and development programmes, giving passionate and committed individuals a range of career opportunities and the tools to further enhance their practice.

Social Worker Level 2

Assistant Team Manager

Job description

North East Lincolnshire currently has opportunities for experienced social workers who are keen to take their first step into a supervisory role as Assistant Team Managers, working within our dedicated Children’s Services Team.

You will be responsible for the supervision and management of a team of qualified social workers and family support workers including rigorous and proactive case supervision.

As a service, we firmly believe in collaborative and partnership working and we don’t just pay ‘lip-service’ to taking a child-centred approach. Alongside social work best practice, management skills and fantastic communication, you also need to be as passionate as we are about achieving the best possible results for the people we support.
